Adult Christian Education
Mission: To offer adults opportunities to explore their faith journey and become more aware of God’s presence in their lives, the parish, the community, and the world.
Adult Christian Education provides opportunities for enrichment, study, and growth as adults engage in meaningful exploration of their faith – helping each person to move forward on a life journey. All of the classes offer a chance to more fully participate in the life of our parish and our community.
There are three categories of classes:
Traditional Sunday School classes explore various selected topics through facilitated discussion.
Special Forums and Focused Explorations are scheduled throughout the year. These may be lead by our priests or by a lay person. For example, there is always a Lenten series designed to help us to more fully experience the season leading up to Easter.
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique certificate program of experiential theological education for laity under the direction of The School of Theology of The University of the South. The class focuses on the study of assigned readings, group discussion, worship, and intentional theological reflection.
