Can you believe it’s already that time again? Fall is rolling in, and with it, we’re kicking off a fresh season at St. Margaret’s!
Starting this Sunday, we’re returning to two Sunday services—at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. This means more options for everyone to come worship, whether you’re an early bird or prefer a later start
I’m so excited to share that Adult Sunday School is back this coming Sunday in the Parish Hall. Come check it out after the 9:00 service.
We will be moving our coffee hour to the history room between the services, we hope this will provide more space for folks to visit, share a cup of coffee and a snack. Catch up with friends and meet some of our newest members.
We also, can’t wait to welcome all our kids, youth, and Adults to our Intergenerational Day on Sunday August 24th in the Parish Hall after the 9:00 service.
Whether you’re coming back from a busy summer or just checking us out for the first time, we’d love to see your smiling face on Sunday morning. There’s something for all ages, and plenty of ways to connect and grow in faith.
If you have any questions, just reach out. See you soon!

The Fab Four: A Ministry of Grace, Compassion, and
Teamwork
At the heart of St. Margaret’s Community Outreach is a group of four extraordinary women that I
affectionately call “The Fab Four”: Marcy Brewer, Lisa Crafton, Martha
Goodson, and Karen Hoppersberger. These dedicated parishioners quietly and faithfully
operate our General Assistance program—one of the most hands-on and relational ministries at
St. Margaret’s.
Working in teams of two—Karen and Marcy, and Lisa and Martha—these women handle the
daily flow of client requests with empathy, discretion, and care. They are the first point of
contact for individuals and families facing financial emergencies. Whether someone is struggling
with rent, electricity, gas for their car, or a prescription they can’t afford, the Fab Four are the
ones who listen first, discern needs, and walk with our neighbors through difficult times.
This ministry is not just about resources; it’s about relationships. Each interaction is an
opportunity to offer compassion, dignity, and hope. It is sacred work, and the Fab Four embody
the values of St. Margaret’s in every conversation, every phone call, and every application they
process.
But it’s not just the clients who are changed. Over the years, the Fab Four themselves have
been deeply moved and transformed by the people they’ve served. They speak often of how
much they’ve learned—about resilience, faith, and the unexpected beauty of connection in the
midst of hardship. Their hearts have grown alongside this ministry.
In the process, their bond with each other has also deepened. What began as a shared
commitment to service has blossomed into true friendship. They support one another, laugh
together, and carry the weight of this work as a team—not just as volunteers, but as friends who
genuinely care for one another.
While their approach is quiet and humble, their impact is loud and lasting. They are efficient,
deeply committed, and exceptionally organized—balancing the demands of our outreach with
warmth and grace. We are grateful beyond words for the time and heart they pour into this
ministry week after week.
So when you see Marcy, Karen, Lisa, or Martha around, take a moment to say thank you.
Their work is a shining example of what it means to serve Christ in one another.
And if you’re ever curious about the work our Outreach Ministry does, or if you feel called to
get involved, talk to one of the Fab Four. They would love to share their experience and help
you find your place in this meaningful work.
Thank you, Fab Four—you are the hands and heart of St. Margaret’s in action and you are
deeply loved.
